The population of Cape Coral Florida in 2005 was approximately 130874 people. Of the offenses known to law enforcement officers in 2005, 361 were violent crimes and 3900 were property crimes. Violent crimes in 2005 included 5 cases of murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, 45 cases of forcible rape, 74
cases of robbery and 237 cases of aggravated assault. Property crimes in 2005 included 1026 cases of burglary, 2567 cases of larceny or theft and 307 cases of
motor vehicle theft.
